As in the Days of Noah: FLOODING! Deadly Floods Hit Russian Urals

Flooding in Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast in the Urals region has killed two people. 

Regional police officials said on August 9 that flooding overnight caused by heavy rains had destroyed a dam and washed away a car with two people inside, killing both of them.

About 1,000 local citizens in Chelyabinsk Oblast and the neighboring Republic of Bashkortostan have been evacuated.

Rains continue in the region.

On August 8, floods hit Amur Oblast in Eastern Siberia.

Several villages and towns in Amur Oblast have been affected by the high waters.
