The DNC just sent out this email to the "list." They seem to be quite concerned over the, in their words, "wholesale control of the GOP" by the Tea Party following the Cantor loss. November is going to be a nail-biter.
DemocratsFriend --I've been working in Virginia politics for a long time, but I've never seen anything like what happened tonight.Seriously: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor just lost his primary to a Tea Party challenger. Eric Cantor -- Eric. Freaking. Cantor. -- is officially too moderate to win the nomination of the Republican Party. And the results are not even close! The Tea Party isn't just alive and well -- it's taken wholesale control of the GOP.We've got to stop these guys, and here's why: If they think that the House under Eric Cantor is too moderate, you can only imagine what Congress will look like if they win this November.Chip in $3 or more right now, and help Democrats fight the Tea Party:https://my.democrats.org/Stop-the-Tea-PartyThanks,MoMo ElleitheeCommunications DirectorDemocratic National Committee
