However, Christ is the head of the Church. Putting the two concepts together in one sentence negates any meaningful charge of right or wrong.<br /><br />I am in a church that teaches tithing as an obedient act to God. My church, however, is not counterfeit church. Not everyone in our church is allowed to minister in the assembly as he or she dictates. Some are not allow to minister as church representatives to the church body at all because they are deemed unacceptable for ministry due to significant unconfused and unrepeated sins in their lives. My church is not counterfeit. Opening the ministry door to whosever will is a formula for disaster. <br /><br />My pastors are honored as spiritual authorities in our church but our church is not counterfeit. We have Bible teachers in our church. Does that really qualify us as a counterfeit church? <br /><br />I think I know what the author means and for the most part, I applaud his intent. However, what he writes gets in the way.
