Personal experiences aren't proof. How do you know that the Muslims' divine revelations are wrong and yours are right? The laws of logic are human constructs based entirely on observations of patters in nature. Oh, and you're quoting Psalm 14:1, right? Matthew 5:22 says not to call people fools. I love it how you bring up TheLivingDinosaur, who chose not to debate ShockofGod. Who in their right mind would debate the guy? Have you ever seen Shock debate? Did you even understand why TLD said he wouldn't debate Shock?

DeleteLogic itself is NOT a human construct. Listen to the interview again... more carefully. Even though, when Aristotle DISCOVERED (not invented) a way to explain the implementation of logic, logic itself is universally applicable and has always been such. It is absurd to suggest that humans constructed logic. How silly. Did humans construct gravity? Logic is an abstract reality that exists with or without human involvement.
I was referring to the descriptive laws, not what they describe. If there was a universe with only a rock, would the law of identity still not apply?
DeleteYou are STRAW MAN-ING this discussion. The interview mentions EVIDENCE (not proof) and LOGIC (not its laws) as reasons to jettison atheism. You are arguing in favor of a position which is not in dispute.
DeleteNate is known to a few of us for attacking and ridiculing Christians and especially creationists on Facebook and the Web. He gets himself banned for trolling and for lack of thought. Also, he's a proud member of the "I Hate Cowboy Bob and The Question Evolution Project, We Pretend It's About Science But It's Really About Personal Vengeance" groups. Not worth your time.
DeleteProsperous you're sidestepping Nate's question. If you're going to accept anecdotes as viable evidence then how can you dismiss the anecdotal evidence of other faiths?
DeleteNoah, he did not say that anecdotal evidence is the ONLY evidence for Christianity. The evidences for the Bible, anecdotal or otherwise, hold up under scrutiny. Other faiths do not have supporting evidence.
