A chimp and a doorknob marry. Does that sound stupid? Absolutely. Why is such a statement stupid? Is it stupid because a chimpanzee is not a person, a doorknob is not alive or because a chimp and a doorknob are of different origins. Is the concept of a chimp and a doorknob becoming husband and wife (or "married" as "chimp and knob") stupid because there is no natural sexual equipment between them or because the chimp is underage and unable to give informed consent to marriage?
All of the above has merit and plays into the reason why announcing the marriage of a chimpanzee with a doorknob is ludicrous. However, at the fundamental level, the concept of a chimp and a knob marrying is stupid because marriage is God's creation (idea) and God's Word clarifies a marriage as between a man and a woman. There is no such thing as a marriage between a chimp and a doorknob because marriage is defined in Genesis as "a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined unto the woman and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24. Notice the definition of marriage is, "a man...and...woman." Anything other than a man and a woman cannot constitute a marriage.
Moral people are making a big mistake in using pro-homosexual terminology and say "gay-marriage." There is no such thing as two people of the same sex being married, just like there is no such thing as a chimp and a doorknob being married.
It is possible, however, for a man to shack up with a man and a woman to shack up with a woman. It is possible for a man to engage in sexual activity with a man and a woman to engage in sexual activity with woman. It is possible for a chimp to have a fetish for a doorknob. It is possible that homosexuals can secure a paper stating they are "married." However, if it were possible for a chimp to be awarded a government paper stating that the chimp was "married to a doorknob" would you call that an "animal-thing marriage?" How stupid is that?!
Do not be deceived. If we fall for the devils' language trick of using the term "gay-marriage" we are promoting their sin-filled relationship as some form of marriage. In reality, homosexuals claiming to be "married" are just two gross people having sex while playing house. Never use the words "gay" and "marriage" together. What God has joined together let not man destroy. What God has not joined together in marriage, let not man call "married." Be wise. Do not use language that violates God's Word.
