The battle rages on in the email sphere between the Obama campaign and the Koch brothers. In the latest email from Jim Messina, Campaign Manager - Obama for America, he notified those of us on the official Obama campaign email list that the emails are flying between the representative for the Koch brothers and himself.
Messina is `demanding`that the Koch brothers disclose who the donors are who have contributed the a PAC, AFP, which is backed by the Koch brothers and is promoting a republican challenge to Obama`s re-election.
The Koch representative responded with "... it has tens of thousands of members and contributors from across the country and from all walks of life." Messina wants them to "prove" it. He writes:
"I'd like them to prove it. So I wrote back, challenging the Koch brothers -- the same guys who recently called the 2012 election "the mother of all wars" -- to disclose for the public exactly who's behind the millions of dollars they're spending on attack ads."
Messina then goes on to provide a link to a petition which demands the following:
"Americans for Prosperity, the special-interest front group run by the oil billionaire Koch brothers, is claiming that its donors are "tens of thousands" of folks "from all walks of life."We're asking them to prove it by disclosing their donors to the public.Demand the truth by adding your name."
