Following the huge success of The History Channel's breakout miniseries, "The Bible," the network has decided to do a spinoff miniseries on the show's most popular character: Jesus.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers Brian Bird and Michael Landon Jr. are rolling out a six-hour, $20 million show on the life of Jesus.
Landon said the show will be different from many other biographical portrayals of Jesus' life.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Landon said his portrayal "will be traditional in the sense we're going to stay true to the gospel, but it won't be traditional in the sense that our version is actually going to be made for the skeptic, not the believer."
"We're not looking to cause controversy to anybody. What we hope to do will be orthodox and faithful to the gospel and pleasing to whoever sees it. The idea of helping skeptics see Christ in a different way than they've ever seen him before, that's not going to upset the choir," Bird told The Hollywood Reporter...
