Obama yields U.S. sovereignty to UN to disarm American citizens

Secretary of State John Kerry announced on Monday that he would sign the UN Pact against citizen owned firearms on behalf of President Obama.
From June 6, 2013.
On Monday, Secretary of State John Kerry announced that he would sign the UN Pact on behalf of President Obama to bring the United States in compliance to enact a national gun registry.

Opponents to the treaty say that this would result in further attempts to undermine the 2nd Amendment rights of the American people. President Obama has already said he wants a national gun registry so the federal government knows who owns guns. Democrats say citizens have no need to own firearms as gun violence is down over the past twenty years, insisting that law enforcement is responsible.

Gun advocates cite the statistical data that gun violence is only down in states that have enacted concealed carry laws for its citizens, while gun violence is up in places where gun rights are severely restricted. Criminals are among the chief advocates for more restrictive gun laws on the law-abiding citizens. Democrats have wanted to enact legislation to disarm citizens since the Great Depression. President Obama cites conservatives and Christians as the greatest threat to his rule.
