Sam Harris SLAMS Christian Evolutionist Francis Collins!

Prominent atheist and UCLA-educated neuroscientist Sam Harris slammed National Health Institute director Francis Collins in his latest podcast, pointing out the doctor's continued allegiance to Christian teachings despite his extensive background in the sciences.

Harris said, "There are people who have really been terrorized by their parents, and people who terrorize their kids with a fear of hell, for instance. I hear from people who their entire life — they're in their 40s and they're only now just coming out of the prison of having spent their entire lives being afraid of being tortured (for) an eternity by Satan. This is in the 21st century, in the United States."

Sam Harris has been dubbed by members of the secularist circles as one of the "four horsemen of new atheism," joining ranks with other prominent atheists, such as biologist Richard Dawkins, journalist Christopher Hitchens, and philosopher Daniel Dennett. His book, The End of Faith, has been described as one of the most essential atheism literatures of the modern-day era.

"Now, this is not to say that people don't have great experiences that they want to capture in religious language. But when you look at someone like Francis Collins, who is running the NIH, who is a medical geneticist and obviously a very smart guy who has made real contributions to science — but he is also a bit of a Bible-thumper, he's an evangelical Christian," Harris said

"He believes in evolution, thankfully, but he also believes that immortal souls and free will were just downloaded onto the hard drive of only one species of primate at some point in history by an almighty God," Harris added.
Apart from failing to point out the obvious anti-biblical straw-man statements like "being tortured (for) an eternity by Satan" the inquisitor article sadly misses the fact that Collins' biggest problem here is not that he's a "Christian" but that "He believes in evolution [...] but he also believes that immortal souls and free will were just downloaded onto the hard drive of only one species of primate at some point in history by an almighty God." This belief hits two very hard barriers, both scientific and biblical. First, there is no evidence that humans were anything other than human. In fact, the preponderance of evidence points to genetic locks which prevent such magical deep-time fish to man mythological "evolution." The very notion is obliterated by David Berlinsky in this video.

Second, the very idea that God used deep-time fish to man evolution is anti-biblical and, frankly, a cowardly position. There simply is no room for it biblically speaking. Jesus Himself, a witness to creation, confirmed for us the creation account from Genesis when He said,

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
Matthew 19:4

Let us also not forget that there was no death prior to the fall. And it was because of the fall that Jesus came and died for our sins. Deep-time fish to man evolution requires the deaths of innumerable animals over billions of years, including humans of various (imaginary) kinds. There is, of course, exactly zero hard evidence that humans evolved from fish, which is the essence of the theory. In fact, if you were to pile up all of the human fossils ever discovered you could fit the entire collection in the back of a single pickup truck. (SEE HERE!)

Romans 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

When God created the earth and its inhabitants he said "it was good." When we combine all that we read about creation, the fall, and redemption along with the overwhelming scientific evidence for special creation we can safely conclude that the ABG (anything but God) crowd is wrong. And we at PPSIMMONS would like to encourage all of you to stand your ground on this. If you embrace the evo-narrative just to placate the powers in the secular world you will find yourself fighting not only with the observable scientific evidence, but with God Himself. Proving that bacteria evolve into bacteria is not evidence that fish evolve into people. And at the end of the day, as evidenced by Harris' attack of Collins, they won't respect you anyway.
