Francois Hollande is a liberal socialist. He is a longtime leader of the Socialist Party in France. Since he took office, Hollande has presided over a rise in the unemployment rate in that country to a staggering 26+% for the under 25 age group. Some have said this is why there is such a rise in Muslim outrage in that country. "They feel cut off and disenfranchised," they say. And even though that may seem to some like a legitimate reason to butcher people it isn't at all the reason the Muslims are doing it... not at all.
Simply put, they do it because they can. And why can they? Because their man is the President.
Ten percent of the French population is Muslim. Of that ten percent, ninety three percent voted for... wait for it... Francois Hollande! Again, their man is the President.
The result? Hundreds of so-called "no go" zones exist in France without threat from the liberal socialist Hollande.
They go by the euphemistic term Zones Urbaines Sensibles, or Sensitive Urban Zones, with the even more antiseptic acronym ZUS, and there are 751 of them as of last count. They are conveniently listed on one long webpage, complete with street demarcations and map delineations.
Why does voting for a liberal give them advantage? For starters we may simply point to the very definition of liberalism. From dictionary.com:
a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual, parliamentary systems of government, nonviolent modification of political, social, or economic institutions to assure unrestricted development in all spheres of human endeavor, and governmental guarantees of individual rights and civil liberties.
Unrestricted? Hmmm.
If France is serious about combating the Muslim hoards they must, once again, embrace restrictive conservative policies because, alas, Margaret Thatcher was right. The facts of life are conservative.
