Rabbi Kaduri's note leads to sharing the Gospel
When
we share the Good News about Messiah Yeshua to the Jewish people, they
think this is only a Christian belief, not one that Jews can accept.
However, the truth is that this is the most Jewish message, as revealed
in the Messianic prophecies of the Hebrew Bible (Tanach - Old
Testament).
When
Yeshua began His public ministry, He proclaimed the fulfillment of the
prophet Isaiah's prophecy concerning the coming of the Messiah:
Isaiah 61:1 -
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners."
The
coming of the Messiah was associated with renewal and redemption.
Though this was to be understood primarily in spiritual terms, it would
also be manifested in the physical world. Yeshua began His ministry
with the announcement that the long-awaited Messianic Age had dawned.
Reading from the scroll of Isaiah, He announced that this prophecy was
now being fulfilled:
"The Spirit of the
Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to
the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and
recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden,
to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord" (Luke 4:18-19).
From
that time on, Yeshua went about performing miracles attesting to His
messianic calling - restoring sight to the blind, opening the ears of
the deaf, healing the lame, and casting out demons. These supernatural
healings pointed to the sad spiritual condition and blindness of
humanity as a whole, and our need for spiritual healing.
Isaiah 9:2 -
The
people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt
in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.
The
mission of the Messiah was to bring spiritual healing and restoration
for all people who were stumbling in spiritual darkness, blinded by the
god of this age and held captive by sin. We continue that mission
today in our ministry outreaches throughout Israel.
Outreach - Rabbi Kaduri's Revelation about Messiah
Spreading all over Israel
We
of Messiah of Israel Ministries were led to share the Good News of
Yeshua the Messiah at the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem. The Kotel
is the remnant of the ancient wall that surrounded the Temple Mount
during the time of Yeshua. For centuries, Jews have made pilgrimage and
prayed at this holy site.
This opens the Word of God.
At
the Kotel were many people praying, seeking God, and asking for God's
help. Zev began sharing Carl Gallups' book, The Rabbi Who Found
Messiah, in order to lead people to Messiah Yeshua. The image of Rabbi
Yitzhak Kaduri on the book's cover attracted people's attention, and
they came to speak with Zev about it. Some were asking questions about
the book, while others listened intently to those conversations. What
was revealed shocked and amazed those who heard the message that Yeshua
is the Messiah.
Zev
saw an Orthodox Jew named Eleazar praying at the Wall with his family.
Zev asked: "I noticed you praying and crying with your children. May I
ask what's wrong so I may pray for you?" Eleazar told Zev that they
have been coming to the Wall every week for the last month. During that
time, Zev has been the only person expressing a desire to help them.
Eleazar then began pouring his heart out to Zev: How sick his wife Orna
is and how difficult it is. She has a muscle disease and the doctors
say she will be in a wheelchair forever. Eleazar said they were here to
ask God for help but they were beginning to believe there is no more
hope for Orna." Zev asked: "Do you believe God is a God of miracles and
He is a supernatural healer? There is Good News." Eleazar and his
children gathered around Zev, eagerly wanting to know the Good News."
Eleazar said: "We have been to many rabbis but nothing has helped."
Then he noticed the book with Rabbi Kaduri's picture on the cover that
Zev held and asked: "Is this the Good News you are talking about?"
Eleazar reading the Messianic prophecies while his children are listening.
Praise Yeshua.
Praise Yeshua.
Zev
answered: "Yes", and asked Eleazar, with his children listening: "Who
was Rabbi Kaduri?" Eleazar responded with great happiness and
enthusiasm about Rabbi Kaduri, who he said was the greatest rabbi of
all. Zev then asked: "Do you believe what Rabbi Kaduri said?" Eleazar
answered: "Of course." Zev went on to explain that Rabbi Kaduri left a
note to be opened one year after his death. That note revealed the name
of the Messiah. The Good News is about the Messiah. Eleazar asked to
see the note. Zev showed him a copy of the note in the book, and read
it along with many passages in the book. Eleazar reacted in stunned
amazement to the revelation in the note that Yeshua is the Messiah.
Zev then read Isaiah 61:1 -
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners."
After
reading this, Zev explained that this is the Good News of Yeshua. Only
He can free you and your family. This is a love message from God.
Clearly, the Holy Spirit was working powerfully in Eleazar and he said:
"When I read Rabbi Kaduri's note and the Bible verses, I can't deny it,
but I'm scared. We need to talk." Eleazur asked for Zev's phone number
so that he could find out more from Zev later privately. Zev
encouraged Eleazar and quoted Psalm 118:6 -
"The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
Please pray with us for Eleazar and his family's healing and salvation.
David reading Rabbi Kaduri's note in Hebrew
that Yeshua is the Messiah.
As
Zev continued to share the message about the Messiah among the people,
another Orthodox man named David heard Zev talking about Rabbi Kaduri
and Good News. He approached Zev and asked: "What's the connection?"
Zev explained about Rabbi Kaduri's amazing message in a synagogue on
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, that only through the blood of
Messiah do we have atonement of sins. David was fascinated and asked
Zev if they could sit and read the book. So Zev and David sat in the
Kotel area and began reading together in The Rabbi Who Found Messiah.
Zev was aware that the more they read, the more the Light of Yeshua was
over them - the Shekinah glory was over the Kotel!
After
reading Rabbi Kaduri's note, David was in shock. He asked that if the
note is true, why hasn't he ever seen or heard about it before. Zev
explained that it was in the news and on Kaduri's website, but somebody
removed it and shut down the story. If it was not real, what was it
doing on his website? David said: "That's true. This is scary and
unbelievable." Zev experienced the Holy Spirit working powerfully and
knew it was time to read the Good News in Isaiah 61:1, as
well as many other Bible verses. They studied the Written Word of God
for hours. David heard the full Gospel of Yeshua. We pray that the Holy
Spirit continues to work in David so that he comes to know Yeshua is
the Messiah.
Zev and David studying the Word . Glory to Yeshua.
Zev
continued to share the love of Yeshua with many in the Kotel area.
Please pray for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully in the hearts of
those who heard the message of love and salvation in Messiah Yeshua.
Please pray for the their salvation
