LET'S DEAL WITH REALITY
CONCERNING HOMOSEXUAL SEX...

Homosexual activist: "I can't help it. I was 'born' that way."

Pastor Carl Gallups: "The real science does not support that reasoning. There is NO credible scientific study indicating homosexuality is 'genetic.' However, there is highly credible scientific evidence to the contrary.1

However, even if it were a matter of genetics - how is that different than a person's genetic predisposition to be a 'murderer' or to be a 'liar?'  We may have strong genetic indicators to conduct ourselves in those ways - but those actions are ALWAYS and ultimately a matter of 'choice.'   That is why society holds us (every one of us - whether we are predisposed that way or not) accountable for those actions ... we can 'choose' to do them, or not to do them, regardless of our genetic predisposition to engage in the activities.

Likewise, with whom you have sexual relations and the mechanics of how you engage in those sexual relations are ALWAYS and ultimately a matter of choice.  Interestingly, the only 'bodily system' within the human body that a person can live without is the reproductive system!  EVERY other system (digestive, elimination, circulatory, nervous, endocrine, etc.) must be in place or the body will not live! You see, this is why God, the inventor of our sexuality and the institution of marriage, gets to set the "rules" for how we choose to live in the matters regarding our sexuality.

The Word of our creator says that homosexual activity is sin. Not only that, but the Word of God says it is a particularly egregious and devastating sin. God says it is a "giving over to a depraved mind." God says that one cannot be an 'active' and 'unrepentant' homosexual and call oneself 'born again.' One cannot be an active homosexual and be a Christian at the same time. The Bible has absolutely nothing positive to say about homosexuality. 2

But consider this. Even if it were discovered that homosexuality was 100% a genetic predisposition - wouldn't that genetic condition be an 'unnatural' anomaly? After all, homosexuality is very rare in the entire population of the world (averaging 3% or less) and perhaps even less than that in the United States. And it does not serve any purpose whatsoever in procreation - the vehicle for the very survival of the human race.3

Additionally, even the CDC claims that homosexuality is the most dangerous sexual lifestyle on the planet in which one can engage. 4 

Accordingly, if we do discover that homosexuality is a genetic occurrence - shouldn't we be looking for a "cure" for this genetic malfunction - like we look for cure for any other genetic malfunction that can potentially devastate that person's health and future?  Of course we should. 

No, you were not "born" that way. In some rare cases it might be the earliest memory you have because of sexual or physical abuse or being taught the lifestyle, etc. - but you were not born as a homosexual.

The truth is that you born to honor your Creator. You were born to give Him praise and to live with Him forever in an eventual recreated paradise! The truth is that your sexuality is a gift from God, and when used properly - according to the instructions of your creator - God honors your life, He honors your health, He honors your testimony before the world.... and He passes that blessing down to your children and children's children. 

You can have all of that in Jesus Christ.  You can be 'born again,' you can be made 'new in Christ' you can be forgiven. You can start over ... the way God designed you to live. 5

Now that you know the truth of the matter - you are responsible for it. We will pray for you - in love.

5. Romans 8: 1-11
