The priceless Gift

                                      Rabin Square,Tel Aviv

About Rabin Square:

Rabin Square, formerly known as Kikar Malchey Israel (Israel Kings' Square), named after the late Yitzhak Rabin, is a large square in the center of Tel Aviv. Surrounded by the monumental City Hall Building to the north, Iben Gvirol Street to the east, Frischman Street to the south, and Chen Boulevard to the west, it was designed alongside the City Hall in 1964 by architects Yaski and Alexandroni. On the northern end of the square is a memorial sculpture designed by Israeli artist Yigal Tumerkin in memory of the Holocaust victims.

It is the largest open public square in the city and is typically used for large rallies, demonstrations, open-air art exhibitions, Independence-Day celebrations and so on. Until the early 1990s, it also served as a public exhibition ground for IDF (Israel Defense Forces) field units (mostly tanks and heavy artillery) on Independence Day.

The priceless Gift

As Zev was praying in Rabin Square, he heard a young man on the phone saying he is canceling his newspaper subscription. There is no good news just corruption and war...

After he got off the phone, Zev knew it was an appointment from Heaven. He approached the young man whose name was Shmulik: "Shalom, I overheard your conversation regarding the newspaper and you are correct. The world is dark. However, there is hope." Shmulik responded: "If you are trying to sell me a different newspaper or book, you are wasting your time." Zev told Shmulik in love and compassion: "I'm not selling anything. What I have to offer you is priceless and free, all paid." Glory to Yeshua! At that moment Shmulik was getting interested. He said: "No one has ever offered me free hope. There has always been a catch. Please tell me what you mean." Zev then opened the Holy Bible and read:

                                         Zev with Shmulik

Psalm 22:19-21:
19 But you, Lord, do not be far from me.
You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Deliver me from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

Exodus 3:8:
8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey-the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

After reading these verses with Shmulik, Zev explained the only way to escape the darkness of this world is through God who prepared a way of Light and redemption through His Son the Messiah. Shmulik was puzzled and asked: "Are you a Christian?" "I am a Jew who has found the Jewish Messiah," Zev replied. Shmulik then challenged Zev: "Where does it say in the Jewish Bible that the Messiah is the Son of God? That would be blasphemy to say a man who is God."

Please pray for Shmulik's salvation

Zev then asked Shmulik: "Do you think God is a liar?"
Shmulik: "Of course not."
Zev: "Do you think God changes His Word?"
Shmulik: "No."
Zev: "Do you believe the 10 commandments is the Word of God?"
Shumulik: "Yes."
Zev then opened the Exodus 20 and read the third commandment: "You shall have no other gods before me."
Zev: "Do you agree with this?"
Shmulik: "Yes."
Zev: "Now let's read Psalm 2" -

1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
3 "Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles."
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 "I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain."
7 I will proclaim the Lord's decree: He said to me, "You are my son; today I have become your father.
8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery."
10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

After reading, Shmulik's face was red. The Holy Spirit was working on him. Zev then said in love: "We just agreed that God is not a liar. If the third commandment says 'You shall have no other gods before me' and in Psalms 2 verse 12 'Kiss the son' which is a form of worship, then that can only mean that the Son is God the Messiah Yeshua."

Egor and his wife Tanya heard Psalms 2

Zev continued to share the Good News in the dark square. Many blessed conversations.

Our prayer is for God to reveal His Son and the plan of salvation to the Israeli people, for their eyes to be open to the truth of the Message of Yeshua, their Messiah, and for a great spiritual awakening to take place in this land.
