WE ARE LEARNING THAT PORNOGRAPHY IS NOW HAVING A PHYSICAL EFFECT THAT WASN'T EXPECTED
The BBC reports that pornography is having a physical affect on those in their teens and 20's. According to Therapist Angela Gregory, more and more men in their late teens and early 20s are now suffering from erectile dysfunction. She places the blame on people becoming addicted to watching online porn.
In August, former Playboy model Pamela Anderson penned an op-ed with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach in the Wall Street Journal about the dangers of pornography, calling it a "public hazard."
Republicans are also now declaring pornography to be a public crisis.
Reportedly, the average age of first exposure to hardcore sex videos on the Internet is now the age of 11.
An unidentified 15 year old boy confessed his habit eventually took him down a path he normally wouldn't go, "There was nothing that would give me a kick. Normal stuff didn't do anything any more, so I had to get more and more extreme material.
"[It was] disturbing stuff that disturbed me that, in normal life, I wouldn't dream of doing," he added while admitting his sexual health has suffered.
Many young men are now discovering they are unable to have healthy sexual relations with their wives due to the ramifications of pornography.
In November, Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed a resolution declaring pornography "illegal" and a "public health crisis".
He told AP reporters, "This new law will protect our children and make our state pure from the heathens who go against God's will."
On Monday, Utah Senator Todd Weiler said he is now pushing for a law that would allow residents to sue porn sites for perceived damages from watching smut.
He reasoned that porn was "undermining marriages" and "undermining relationships," adding, "if someone gets divorced, that affects the government, because we end up with more children and spouses on government welfare."
In September, the Russian government enacted a countrywide ban on internet porn, banning access to many but not all porn sites.
