Pastor Caspar's Commentaries - Forgiveness Is A Decision

Once a very attractive young woman in her mid twenties asked me to pray for her because her husband had abandoned her and her 3 children for another woman. As young as she appeared I was surprised she already had 3 children. I asked her if she had forgiven her husband for doing such a terrible thing. She said she was trying to forgive him. I told her quite simply you cannot "try" to forgive someone. Either you forgive them or you do not forgive them. Either you get up and walk out of the door you came in or you stay here inside. You either tear up that record of wrongs or you hold on to it. She said, "how can I forgive him seeing how he has ruined the last 5 years of my life". I asked her, "do you want to allow him to continue to ruin the next 5 years of your life?" Forgiveness is a choice you make. It does not condone someone's mistakes and misconduct. Rather it takes you off the hook. They are still remaining on the hook until they repent before the Lord.

Considering if the Lord Jesus/Yeshua is our example and as he suffered in excruciating pain on that Roman cross and he also asked our Heavenly Father to forgive those who crucified him, therefore what do you think you shall you do now? (Luke 23:34) Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! Jesus said in Luke 21:15, "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.' I say hallelujah! Because "All", things are possible with God! I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
