Terry Jones "shakes up" election - seeks write-in victory

Press release from STAND UP AMERICA.
*** Begin Press release***
TERRY JONES is running for President November 6th, 2012, as a WRITE IN Candidate. You can be an Elector for Terry Jones if you are willing to vote for him on Monday December 17th, 2012 at your State Capital. This is the day Electors for the Candidate with the most popular votes on November 6th cast their official Electoral College vote. The use of the Electoral College process in which we cast an indirect vote for the President is detailed in the US Constitution.
Each State is assigned a certain number of these electoral votes depending on the size of the population in that State. The largest, California, gets 55, Texas has 38, Florida and New York 29 each, all the way down to just 3 Electors for the small states and DC. In most states, the winner of the popular vote takes all the electoral votes for that state.
In each state, we are in the process of filing letters of intent for Terry Jones to run as a write-in candidate, and we must be prepared, in the event that he wins the vote, to have Electors for each state. In some states the Electors’ information must be filed along with the letter of intent. These records are then available to the public upon request.
To be an Elector, you need to be a registered voter in your State. We will need your name and address, and for our own records some other contact information. In some states we need your voter ID number and some Electors will need to fill out and sign a form. A few states require the Electors to have their forms notarized. There are no filing fees involved.
It is that simple! You can be a part of history and work with us to shake up the system. Skip the printed ballot options November 6th and write in TERRY JONES for President. With your help, these votes will be counted!
