Terry Jones, Florida pastor who burned the Koran, among those sentenced to death by Egyptian court

In this Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 file photo, Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center speaks at a news conference in Gainesville, Fla. An Egyptian court has convicted in absentia Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 seven Egyptian Coptic Christians and Jones, Florida-based American pastor and sentenced them to death on charges linked to an anti-Islam film that had sparked riots in parts of the Muslim world. The decision by the high court is largely seen as symbolic since Jones doesn't live in Egypt and neither do the seven Egyptian Coptic Christians also tried in absentia. Some of them are linked to the controversial film that sparked deadly riots across the Muslim world in September.

Firebrand Florida pastor Terry Jones is a dead man walking if he ever steps a foot into Egypt.
An Egyptian court convicted Jones in absentia Wednesday and sentenced him to death in connection to a controversial anti-Islam film that incited deadly protests around the world in September, including the killing of the American ambassador in Benghazi, Libya.

The Cairo court also called for the death of seven Egyptian Coptic Christians who no longer live in the country. Some of them are also linked to the film, including the man believed to be behind the project, Mark Basseley Youssef.
