Last week a tragedy was revealed in the small border city of Sarnia On Canada. A woman in her mid-twenties was reported missing by her family. Later she was found dead - murdered, by a man and a woman, and left in a ditch outside of town.
While many in the liberal/socialist media around the world hail Canada's virtual gun ban as a great example of how it should be done, they fail to respect and honor those who died as a direct result of "sitting duck syndrome"; the state of existence all Canadians are forced to live in as a consequence of having their best defense against violent criminals, who never went away when the guns were confiscated - taken away.
People like Piers Morgan and, apparently the vast majority of the Democrat party in the US are forcing the gun issue in an attempt to disarm law-abiding Americans thereby making everyone pay with their freedoms for the heinous acts of the few.
Regardless of how controversial one might think he is, Alex Jones made an excellent point in his interview with Piers Morgan recently when he correctly refuted Morgan's point that America has higher gun-related crime than his home country of England. Jones' response was that even though that may be true, violent crime in the UK has continued. Furthermore, Jones posited, since people have had the most effective means of protection, a gun in the hands of someone skilled in its proper use, taken away from them - people are forced to either run for their lives or submit to the abuse and/or death.
Such was the case for the young Canadian woman found in the ditch outside of Sarnia, On Canada. One can only wonder how different the outcome might have been if the woman had been armed with the ability to use, and permission to own, the most effective tool for self-defense - a firearm.
We don't need to speculate very much, actually. There are countless examples in the US of women defending themselves against would-be rapists. They are not suffering from "sitting duck syndrome" as are our Canadian sisters. As I have long said, ONE gun in the hand is worth more than 100 cops "on the way!"
