    Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son. The Catholic church while they may be wrong in many of their beliefs they do not deny the father nor the son.

      There is brilliant discussion on that idea at joelstrumpet.org. I enjoy reading the writings of some very well educated, sometimes discerning individuals on joelstrumpet. One thing worth mentioning to those who would wish to more deeply explore the subject: the interlinear helps on various biblical text web-sites can greatly improve one's comprehension of the Text under scrutiny; and to follow some of the more learned scholars it often becomes necessary to refer to the meaning of words in their originally spoken/written languages/cultural setting (not to be confused with the perversion of this truth, that is to say the Sitz im Leben and Zeitgeist)
