Iran: 7.5 Quake kills at least 40 - STRONGEST in 50 years!

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- A major earthquake described as the strongest to hit Iran in more than half a century flatted homes and offices Tuesday near Iran's border with Pakistan, killing at least 40 people in the sparsely populated region and swaying buildings as far away as New Delhi and the skyscrapers in Dubai and Bahrain.

Iran's state-run Press TV said at least 40 people were killed, but gave no other immediate details on the extent of damage or casualties. Iran's Red Crescent said it was facing a "complicated emergency situation" in the area with villages scattered over desolate hills and valleys...
