Hello, I am just wondering if this is for real? Is this saying that God punished some Oklahomans in Moore and Central Oklahoma for gay pride festivals that they had nothing to do with? Is it saying that God saw the gay pride festivals and instead of directly targeting the actual festival attendees themselves at the place and time that the festvals were happening, He instead targeted people (men, women, and children) who had seemingly nothing to do with these events? If so, what about the May 3rd, 1999 tornado that was in almost the exact same location...who was God targeting then? Is there some Bible that you can cite for this? You are implicitly speaking for God here, that is a pretty serious thing to do. Can you give some biblical examples or bible verses that support your assertions? I am in no way supporting homosexual behavior or anything like that, but I do think it is an error to say God is doing this or that or punishing these people or those people in any given scenario. Most of the people affected by these tornadoes are Christians, by the way. Where is the Bible for this, thats all I really care to know. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis article didn't claim God 'punished' some Oklahomans. If a person sticks their hand in a running lawn mower is it God's fault when the person loses a hand?

DeleteIs that in proverns somewhere? I can't seem to find it. Sorry for the sarcasm, but I was hoping for a more Biblically based answer. I understand if you are too busy, but is there anyway you could elaborate on your lawnmower analogy? As for the article not claiming God punished people? How do you figure? It seems all about that. Gay pride week = tornado. (They didn't learn their lesson) Gay pride festival in Tulda = another tornado. Cause, effect, cause, effect. We don't even have to call it punishmnet. But how can you claim this was a direct act of God when this kind of thing doesn't happen all the time in places like San Francisco or places where gay marriage has been legalized. Plus, is homosexuality somehow unique from murder (abortion) or adultery or lying or idol worship. All these things a abominations to God, so why do you think it is that He would just tornado the wrong people in a state where a couple gay rallies were being held and not delve out this sort of thing all over (especially Washington)?
I am really being sincere here and really would like some scripture to back it up. I hate the idea that I might be wrong on this.I take the word of God very seriously.
Thanks.
Sowing and reaping is a well-known biblical dynamic established in creation by God. Even though God is not personally drowning little children in basement (ala Mooke Ok) His principles apply... like the power of a gas-powered lawnmower... which doesn't discriminate when it maims...
DeleteBe not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:7
Oklahoma, especially Tulsa, was a spiritual powerhouse for a long time. And to whom much is given, much is required... including fidelity.
Alright, well thanks for taking the time to consider and answer. God Bless.
