Syria Postpones the Inevitable - Damascus WILL be Destroyed

¶The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
Isaiah 17:1

MOSCOW (AP) -- Syria said Tuesday it has accepted Russia's proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control for subsequent dismantling.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said Tuesday after meeting with Russian parliament speaker that his government quickly "agreed to the Russian initiative." (Full Story)

The prophecy concerning Damascus is pretty clear. And with the tidings out of Syria these days it seemed this prophecy was about to be fulfilled. However as of today, Sept 10 2013, Russia (via John Kerry) seems to have managed to bring about the hope of a little 'peace and safety.' But not so fast.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1 Thessalonians 5:3

Is it possible that Obama's fuse will be lit by a soon-coming revelation that these people - the Russians, Syrians, Persians (Iran) and much of the rest of the world body are playing games with him and making him look rather silly?

But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

Daniel 11:44

If Bible prophecy is Israel-centered then the following is a reasonable deduction. Syria is East and North of Israel. Tidings are news and intelligence information. Is the 'great fury' merely building as a potential response from Obama following this obvious 'pwnage' by Putin et al? And will Obama's 'great fury' result in fulfilling the destruction of Damascus prophesied in Isaiah?

Stay tuned!
