I think this is may be significant to your understanding and drawing closer to the Lord Jesus/Yeshua. In the New Testament let us understand and realise you don't find it written, "Thus saith the Lord." Rather you will find, "Thus saith the Holy Ghost." Keeping in mind Amos 3:7, "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
For example, we read in Acts 21:10, "And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles."
Here the Holy Ghost does not forbid the Apostle Paul to go to Jerusalem, but only predicts what would happen if he does go. There is always freedom of choice it appears. Giving Paul an opportunity to think about his future and what it will cost him to share the Gospel there. Just as you have today to think about what it will cost you to boldly proclaim the Gospel truth here.
In contrast what do we see so often happening in the churches today?
It appears to me from my pastoral perspective our churches are now filled with a counterfeit version of Christianity in these end times. Instead of hearing the true prophets so many are often embracing a form of fortune telling. People are so insecure and so unsure of the Word of God they are seeking a word from just about anyone willing to say a prophetic word hoping it will somehow prove Jesus really loves them. The Lord Jesus already proved that by taking your place on that cross. Please listen to me, you can't be something you aren't, either you are or you are not as God decides. Considering Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
You are either a man or women of God or not, you are either a prophet or your not a prophet as the Lord decided this before the foundations of the world were laid down. You can grow in your gift just as you grow in your faith. The Lord in His love and infinite wisdom distributes gifts to His children for His divine purposes. You can seek the Lord and desire more gifts but its still up to the Lord to decide. (See 1 Corinthians 14) Besides the Kingdom of God is not a democracy.
Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! The Lord Jesus said in Luke 10:19," Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.' How much more power would you ever need?
I say hallelujah! Because "All", things are possible with God! I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
