Drudge Report Caught Lying About Ron Paul - WND Gets it Right

The above screen shot was taken May 14 2012 at the Drudge Report regarding a decision from the Ron Paul campaign reported at the Washington Times (Drudge doesn't actually contribute any content).

Drudge's headline quite clearly reads "Paul Out". Yet that is such a misleading headline that if a person was to not bother clicking on the link to the WT story one would naturally be led to believe that, since it's a picture of Ron Paul, Drudge is reporting that Ron Paul is "out" of the race, right? Just as he did with Bachmann, Gingrich, Cain, Perry, etc.

Yet this is totally and completely wrong. The Paul camp is simply re-routing funds to be more fiscally responsible. The Washington Times article is quite clear on this and Ron Paul is quoted as desiring his supporters to vote for him no matter where the campaign decides to spend it's money resources.

So Paul is not "out" and Drudge should be ashamed of himself for reporting like this and stooping to such a scumbag level.

Mr. Paul said he will continue to work to win delegates in states that have already voted and where the process of delegate-selection is playing out. He said that’s a way to make his voice heard at the Republican nominating convention in Tampa, Fla., in August.
Ron Paul hasn't been "out" for the last three elections. He is always campaigning - for a better country and a return to the basics of Republican values. We may not all agree on his methods but one thing is for sure - Ron Paul is not "out".

WND more accurately reported on this in their coverage here with the headline "RON PAUL ABANDONS HUNT But will continue to seek delegates in some states". Cudos to them.

UPDATE!... RON PAUL STATEMENT ON CAMPAIGN GOING FORWARD
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE LEADERSHIP POSITIONS, WIN DELEGATES, AND CARRY A STRONG MESSAGE TO THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION THAT LIBERTY IS THE WAY OF THE FUTURE.” – RON PAUL

Wikipedia Purges Info on Obama's "Socialist" Slogan "Forward" (but we have a screen shot)

The Drudge Report latched onto the sad butchering of a Wikipedia article reported on earlier this week which detailed the socialist origins of the historical political uses of the single-word slogan "Forward".

The Gateway Pundit reported Barack Obama’s latest campaign slogan “Forward!” also happens to be a Nazi marching tune. Vorwärts! Vorwärts! was a marching song of the Hitler youth.

SHEESH! No wonder there's a mad scramble to erase that from the Wikipedia servers. Earlier today the honesty was nearly overwhelming. So overwhelming in fact that even Drudge posted it - and many of us know how difficult it can be to get Matt's attention.

But it didn't take long for the wiki-puppets to get posting-remorse. They began scrubbing the page until all that remains is "On April 30th, 2012 the Obama–Biden campaign announced the slogan "Forward". That is essentially the entire Wikipedia article as I write this, though that could change in a matter of a few moments by the look of things.

So when we were alerted (by Drudge) that they were thinking about scrubbing the site we rushed over there and copied the content and took a screen shot. Here is what were able to salvage mere seconds before it was reduced to a single sentence.

Controversy

The name Forward has been frequently used as a name for influential leftwing newspapers and publications[2], denoting an urge for progress.[3]

DRUDGE REPORT Taking Money from Obama Campaign

This scree-shot taken today, March 21, clearly shows an ad banner on top promoting the Obama re-election effort.

It reads "Join Michelle and tell Barack you're in" next to an image of the first lady. On the bottom right it reads "Paid for by Obama for America". I captured this image myself - it was not altered in any way. Simply click on the image to enlarge.

Now, we know how these things work, however, one would think that such a conservative powerhouse as the infamous DRUDGE REPORT could find a way to stop the good folks at Google from pushing ads to site which promote the very message Matt is against! Unfortunately, until then, the DRUDGE REPORT is guilty of supporting the Obama campaign.

See video below for a tutorial on how to block types of ads from google on your adsense account and we show how to target specific urls like barackobama.com
