Syrian general flees to Turkey

ANTAKYA, Turkey (Reuters) - About 1,000 Syrians, including a defecting brigadier-general, have fled to Turkey in the past 24 hours to escape intensifying violence, a Turkish official said on Friday.
The latest group brought the number of Syrian refugees in Turkey to 45,500, up from 44,000 at the end of July, said the official, who asked not to be named. At least 25 military generals are among those who have taken refuge in Turkey.
A Syrian activist who monitors refugee flows at the border said 900 people from the towns of Aleppo and Idlib in Syria had arrived since Thursday, citing Turkish border guards.
Of those, 20 civilians, including women and children, were wounded when their bus came under attack by government forces, said the activist, who declined to be named. They were being treated at Turkish hospitals, he said.
Turkish officials are concerned about a possible flood of refugees from Syria's biggest city Aleppo as President Bashar al-Assad's forces use warplanes and artillery to pound rebel fighters there.
The 17-month uprising against Assad's rule in Syria has created a refugee crisis in Turkey and other neighboring countries. Opposition sources say at least 18,000 people have been killed since the revolt began in March 2011.

REPORT! Syria, Iran, Russia and China plan joint war games

According to the article, the four countries are preparing 90,000 troops, 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks for the massive joint maneuvers, which are to take place along the Syrian coast within a month.
The report states that Russian “atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria” and that Egypt has agreed to let 12 Chinese warships cross the Suez Canal for the exercises.
The IDF spokesman’s office called the report a “political matter” and declined to comment.
Iran is currently holding talks with six Western powers over the fate of its nuclear program. The talks, said to be held in a tense atmosphere in Moscow, seek to alleviate world concerns that the Islamic Republic is developing nuclear weapons.

WW3 Watch! Britain stops Russian ship carrying attack helicopters for Syria

The MV Alaed which altered course after being hailed by Dutch authorities and was north-west of Scotland last nightA Russian ship believed to be carrying helicopters and missiles for Syria has been effectively stopped in its tracks off the coast of Scotland after its insurance was cancelled at the behest of the British government.

The British marine insurer Standard Club said it had withdrawn cover from all the ships owned by Femco, a Russian cargo line, including the MV Alaed.

"We were made aware of the allegations that the Alaed was carrying munitions destined for Syria," the company said in a statement. "We have already informed the ship owner that their insurance cover ceased automatically in view of the nature of the voyage."

British security officials confirmed they had told Standard Club that providing insurance to the shipment was likely to be a breach of European Union sanctions against the Syrian regime.

They said they were continuing to monitor the ship, which has been the subject of a fierce international row since US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last week revealed it was adding to the arsenal of weaponry available for Mr Assad to use against rebellious Syrian towns.

Russia readies warships/ helicopter gunships for Syria

Russia has announced it is readying two warships to sail to Syria to protect Russian citizens, in a sign that it is taking precautions against a worsening of the security situation there.
Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, has denied that Russia is selling arms to Syria which can be used against civilians, and Russia says it is not violating any UN sanctions or treaty obligations in doing so. Last year, Russia sold anti-aircraft missiles to Syria as well as missile batteries designed to fend off seaborne attacks, and signed a contract to supply 36 Yak-130 trainer aircraft for $550m. Recently it signed a contract to supply 24 MiG-29 advanced fighter bombers.

Russia has admitted it is repairing a number of helicopter gunships for the Syrian army which were originally sold in Soviet times. According to news reports, these helicopters are en route to Syria from the Russian port of Kaliningrad, although Russia’s defence minister declined to comment on the story on Monday.

BREAKING - Pentagon finalizes plan to attack Syria

The U.S. military has completed its own planning for how American troops would conduct a variety of operations against Syria, or to assist neighboring countries in the event action was ordered, officials tell CNN.
In recent weeks, the Pentagon has finalized its assessment of what types of units would be needed, how many troops, and even the cost of certain potential operations, officials tell CNN.
Multiple military officials say initial planning is complete with a full understanding of what types of troops and units would be needed. This has been done so that if President Obama were to ask for options the military would be ready to present them. But officials say additional detailed work would have to be done before forces could be deployed.

WAR DRUMS - US threatens Russia's "vital interests"

Secretary of the State Hillary Rodham Clinton said that Russia is putting its "vital interests" and relationships in the Middle East at risk if it does not act constructively on Syria, which, she said, is "spiraling towards civil war."
Clinton's warning came a day after she accused Russia of providing a shipment of attack helicopters to Syria—a claim that Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov denied. Lavrov, in turn, accused Washington of giving arms to rebels.
"The United States has provided no military support to the Syrian opposition," Clinton said Wednesday. "None."
The United States and United Nations are attempting to put pressure on Russia to help end the 15-month conflict that has left more than 13,000 Syrians dead.
On Tuesday, Clinton said that the conflict there could escalate without a regime change.
"We are concerned about the latest information we have that there are attack helicopters on the way from Russia to Syria," Clinton said Tuesday, echoing remarks she made last week calling for Syrian President Bashar Assad to be removed from power.

US lawmakers to Obama "Get tougher on Russia"

The State Department on Wednesday unequivocally rejected Russia's accusation that the U.S. is arming the Syrian opposition, saying American support comes strictly in the form of "nonlethal" aid.

"We do NOT -- repeat NOT -- provide arms to anyone in Syria," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said in an email to FoxNews.com.

The rapid-fire diplomatic battle between the two countries is quickly escalating as the U.S. tries to pressure Russia to pull back on its support for Syrian President Bashar Assad amid worsening violence inside Syria. Both U.N. and French officials are now describing that conflict as civil war.

Russia and the U.S. are effectively accusing each other of contributing to the violence.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday accused Russia of providing attack helicopters to Assad's regime.
On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov defended his country's aid, saying Russia is not violating any international law. And, according to an account from Reuters, Lavrov said: "They (the United States) are providing arms and weapons to the Syrian opposition that can be used in fighting against the Damascus government."
The State Department denied the charge.

Toner told FoxNews.com that the U.S. has been "crystal clear on this point." He said the U.S. provides $52 million in emergency humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people through various nongovernmental organizations like the Red Cross.

Toner said the U.S. provides some nonlethal assistance, like communications and medical equipment.
Clinton, in claiming that Russia was arming Assad, warned that the violence in the country could escalate "quite dramatically."

The latest reports out of Syria, according to state TV, say that Assad's forces have cleared out rebels from the Haffa region.

The developments have led some U.S. lawmakers to call on the Obama administration to get tougher on Russia.

Israel: Obama to blame for crisis in Syria

Itamar Rabinovich (photo credit: Moshe Shai/Flash90)
A distinguished former Israeli ambassador to the United States on Thursday accused the Obama administration of prime responsibility for the international community’s failure to stop the killings in Syria.
Itamar Rabinovich, who was also Israel’s chief negotiator under prime minister Yitzhak Rabin in abortive efforts at peacemaking with Syria in 1992-95, said that “it’s not Russia that’s preventing intervention. Russia is the pretext, the alibi” for the lack of substantive international action. “If someone wanted to ratchet up the pressure on Syria, they could,” he said.

The real block, he told Army Radio, is the US government. “The Obama administration is not looking for another major Middle East crisis before November.”

BREAKING - Syrian security forces kill up to 100 people near Hama

Reuters / Reuters TV
The Syrian opposition claims that as many as 100 people have been killed by government forces in the Hama region. The Syrian government claims terrorists are responsible for the slayings.
Reports from the Free Syrian Army, the Local Coordination Committees, Syrian National Council and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights differ on the exact number of casualties.
The Syrian government called the Hama massacre a “monstrous crime,” and said its special forces were in the area to combat the “terrorists” behind the killings, according to Syrian State TV. Authorities reported that all of the militants have been killed, with Syrian forces seizing weapons including rocket-propelled grenades.
Women and children are reported to be among the dead. A spokesperson for the Syrian National Council said as many as 100 people died in the massacre, which took place in the villages of Mazraat al-Qubair and Maarzaf, the BBC reports.

John McCain: "shameful" that US isn't already in Syria

Sen. John McCain was vehement over the weekend in his call for greater international involvement.

"This is a shameful episode in American history," McCain, R-Ariz., told "Fox News Sunday," criticizing the Obama administration's policies as "feckless."

"And it's really an abdication of everything that America stands for and believes in. And on Memorial Day, we should be especially moved by this incredible inaction and failure to assert American leadership," he said

Sixth Trumpet Watch: Western Nations Expel Syrian Diplomats

Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Canada said they were expelling Syrian diplomats in protest at the killing of civilians, including the deaths of 108 people shot in their homes last week.
The move comes as Western powers attempt to press Russia, a strong backer of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, to support a negotiated political change to force Mr. Assad from power.

Sixth Trumpet Watch! US military warns Syria as pressure builds on Obama

The US's top military officer has warned Syria it could face armed intervention as international outrage grows over the massacre of women and children by tanks and artillery in Houla.
General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, said that following the UN security council's condemnation of the slaughter – in which more than 100 people were killed, many of them children – there needed to be increased diplomatic pressure on Damascus. But he added that the US would be prepared to act militarily if it was "asked to do so".

Sixth Trumpet Watch - UN Security Council to hold emergency meeting on Syria massacre

Diplomats say the U.N. Security Council will hold an emergency meeting Sunday afternoon to discuss the recent massacre in the Syrian town of Houla that left more than 90 people dead.
The diplomats say Britain and France proposed issuing a press statement condemning the Houla massacre, but Russia told council members it could not agree and wanted a briefing first by the general heading the U.N. observer mission in Syria.
The diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity, say the briefing by Maj. Gen. Robert Mood was being arranged. Russia called for a council meeting to begin at 2:30 p.m. (1830 GMT).
The U.N. and others have issued statements appearing to hold the Syrian regime of President Bashar Assad responsible. The Syrian government has denied responsibility for the Houla killings.

Obama campaign email highlights Iraq war - but the war rages on

The latest email from the Obama campaign headquarters is from Obama himself. It reads -

Friend --
Early this morning, the last of our troops left Iraq.
As we honor and reflect on the sacrifices that millions of men and women made for this war, I wanted to make sure you heard the news.
Bringing this war to a responsible end was a cause that sparked many Americans to get involved in the political process for the first time. Today's outcome is a reminder that we all have a stake in our country's future, and a say in the direction we choose.
Thank you.
Barack
Yet the war rages on - not in Iraq so much but continues to push forward into Syria and then Iran; just as he promised in the 2007 South Carolina Democratic primary debate, on MSNBC Apr 26, 2007

I think it would be a profound mistake for us to initiate a war with Iran. But, have no doubt, Iran possessing nuclear weapons will be a major threat to us and to the region. They’re in the process of developing it. And I don’t think that’s disputed by any expert. They are the largest state sponsor of terrorism, of Hezbollah and Hamas.
A mistake to initiate, perhaps, but that would be a minor detail. Iran has, by some estimates, already initiated reason for war by allegedly attempting to a kill a Saudi on American soil and now supposedly has stolen a US drone. So the justification is in place already. In fact there is ample reason to believe the war has already begun with explosions in the Iranian interior on military bases, the stuxnet virus, assassinations of Iranian scientists, etc.

Obama went on to project his intentions for Iran in that same 2007 debate with Kucinich -

There is no contradiction between us taking seriously the need, as you do, to want to strengthen our alliances around the world--but I think it is important for us to also recognize that if we have nuclear proliferators around the world that potentially can place a nuclear weapon into the hands of terrorists, that is a profound security threat for America and one that we have to take seriously.

There is now evidence the Obama war machine is massing on the border with Syria and will have bombs hitting the ground on Assad-controlled assets within weeks. This is a clear evidence that Obama has every intention of seeing his projected target of Iran wiped out - perhaps at the request of the Saudis themselves.

This effort to sweep into Persia will likely trigger a big war - possibly involving Russia, Iran's friend and nuclear ally. Stay tuned for activity to unfold as we witness the sixth trumpet prophecy begin to take shape.

Obama ended his very personal email with these words - " Today's outcome is a reminder that we all have a stake in our country's future, and a say in the direction we choose". And that direction is becoming pretty clear. Support for regime change all over the Middle East - and he seems to just be getting started.

End Time Prophecy Fulfilled in England,Germany,Syria Headlines

Prime Minister Cameron of Great Britain announced last week that England will not take part in the EU deal to save Europe from Economic meltdown. Now French President Sarkozy said Monday there are "now two Europes" meaning England and the German-led rest of Europe.

"We did everything, the chancellor and I, to allow the British to take part in the agreement. But there are now clearly two Europes," Sarkozy said in an interview with the French daily Le Monde.

Separately, the head of France's financial regulator branded Cameron's Conservatives "the stupidest" right-wing party in the world for pushing its leader into confrontation with Europe.

"It's rare to see a European country truly refuse to reach a deal because of, to put it crudely, pressure from the finance lobby," Jean-Pierre Jouyet, chairman of the AMF market regulator, told France Inter radio.

"For a long time we have thought the French right the stupidest in the world," he continued.

"I think, in this case, the British right has shown that it can be the stupidest, in that it has served not its national interest but purely the interests of high finance," he declared.

This is exactly how the Bible says things will play out in the "End Time" scenario regarding the European - Asian theater dynamic. England, the Lion, will be separate from the Leopard, Germany, which is the largest economy in Europe. The prophecy says the Lion is named separately but is incorporated into a single beast entity.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Revelation 13:2
So we see an incorporation of Germany, Russia, and England. Russia, the bear, will be incorporated into this eventually and we see great things happening there daily as their own elections are coming up in 2012 as well. We've been saying for a while now that there will be a distinct separation of England from Germany and now we see that fulfilled even though, as the prophecy states, they will also be joined together. Now we will see Russia melted into the picture as well.

China, the Dragon, will empower this union which we see happening even now. We see this reality in the last part of Rev 13:2 and we also see this playing out in the headlines of today.

And now to Syria where we see hints of the soon fulfillment of the Sixth Trumpet prophecy. This event will emanate out of the Euphrates river. It will involve 200 million men and kill one third of them - or - 66,666,666 fighters. The CIA Fact sheet reports that there are 200 million men in the Middle East where this war will take place. Amazingly the headlines are reporting today that the troops who were taken out of Iraq, which owns most of the Euphrates river, are currently stationed on the border with Syria.

The Bible gives a progressive tone to the trumpets - that they lead into each other. In fact the fourth and fifth trumpets are nearly shown to be the same event seemingly running into each other. The sixth trumpet emanates out of the Euphrates river - and Obama has in recent months ended the US troop involvement there and now are on to the next war - Syria and Iran.

Revelation 9:13 ¶And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts
We see here some numbers, as we mentioned previously, 200 million men, 1/3 killed. We see imagery of war machines blowing things up with fire, smoke, and brimstone. These are called "plagues" by the writer who must have been astonished by what he was being shown. At the bottom of this article you will find videos which detail the first five trumpet fulfillments and other important info. The end time is not coming - the end time is now.

NOTE - To all those who have been taught that China has the 200 million man army mentioned in Rev 9 you have been taught an utter falsehood. The PLA encompasses five main service branches: Ground Force, the Navy, the Air Force, the Second Artillery (strategic missile force), and the People's Armed Police. Following the 200,000 troop REDUCTION from 2003 to 2005, the total end-strength of the PLA has been reduced from 2.5 million to 2.3 million. There are 660,000 personnel serving in the People's Armed Police (PAP), and 1.2-1.5 million in the reserve forces and militia... HOWEVER... there ARE 200 million men CURRENTLY in the Middle East where we are observing the trumpet prophecies play out.

Sixth Trumpet Watch - 'Brink of civil war': Syrian opposition asks world for help

Syrian dissidents on Sunday formally established a broad-based national council designed to overthrow President Bashar Assad's regime, which they accused of pushing the country to the brink of civil war. Syrians took to the streets in celebration, singing and dancing.

The announcement of the Syrian National Council at a news conference in Istanbul appeared to be the most serious step yet to unify a deeply fragmented opposition. It follows five days of intense battles between the Syrian military and army defectors in the country's central region that raised the specter of all-out armed conflict.
