New White House petition call for Piers Morgan to be deported over gun rant

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Deport British Citizen Piers Morgan for Attacking 2nd Amendment

British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.

UPDATE

CNN's Piers Morgan is upset over a petition at the White House web site calling for his deportation, Twitchy reported Saturday.
"Ironic U.S. gun rights campaign to deport me for 'attacking 2nd Amendment rights' - is my opinion not protected under 1st Amendment rights?" he tweeted.
The petition, created on Friday, cites his relentless attacks on the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

UPDATE

LONDON (AP) -- Tens of thousands of people have signed a petition calling for British CNN host Piers Morgan to be deported from the U.S. over his gun control views.

Morgan has taken an aggressive stand for tighter U.S. gun laws in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting. Last week, he called a gun advocate appearing on his "Piers Morgan Tonight" show an "unbelievably stupid man."

The petition has already hit the 25,000 signature threshold to get a White House response. By Monday, it had 31,813 signatures.

UPDATE Dec 25th numbers...

UPDATE! Piers Morgan offers to deport HIMSELF!

Morgan: "In conclusion, I can spare those Americans who want me deported a lot of effort by saying this: If you don’t change your gun laws to at least try to stop this relentless tidal wave of murderous carnage, then you don’t have to worry about deporting me.
Although I love the country as a second home and one that has treated me incredibly well, I would, as a concerned parent first – and latterly, of a one-year-old daughter who may attend an American elementary school like Sandy Hook in three years’ time – seriously consider deporting myself."

The petition currently has nearly 92,000 signatures.
