Isaiah 17 Watch! Damascus Ghost City: Syrian Civil War leaves capital city's suburbs virtually abandoned

With hundreds of thousands of Syrians fleeing the 20-month civil war, suburban residential areas are fast becoming wastelands, with the few remaining inhabitants living in fear of perpetual sniper fire. The city of Darayya was once home to around 75,000 people but know lays abandoned, the UN estimates the total number of dead from the conflict at around 60,000.
