Israelis, Palestinians kick off peace talks - but what does the Bible say?

The Bible is clear that there will be no peace in the Middle East until Jesus returns. In fact, as a mark of the 'end time' there will in fact be cries for peace prior to a destructive set of events.

1 Thessalonians 5:2  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
And now the peace 'process' resumes between Israel and Palestine, a group once led by a man who stated there will be peace in Israel when the last Jew is drowned in the sea.

This comment should startle most "Christians". It is so often misused to declare that no one knows when The Messiah's return is to happen.

To the UN WATCHFUL the thief WILL come when you don't expect him. To the WATCHFUL when the thief does come the owner in NOT taken off guard.
