PRESIDENT TRUMP IS THE PRESIDENT, NOT MY PRESIDENT

by Rev. Joda Collins.

The President of the United States is not MY President. He is not YOUR President.  I do not own him, you do not own him and he does not own us.  He has no direct obligation to me or to you.  Read his oath of office.  He is President of THE United States.  He is THE President.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the
Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

His commitment is to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."  His only direct commitment is to the Constitution. By implication and assignment, his commitment is to support and defend those who uphold the Constitution. No one else!

If he was the President of everyone, then he would have to preserve, protect and defend everyone's wishes, assumed rights and/or way of life.

A house divided cannot stand and those who disagree cannot walk the same path.  It is not the President's job to bring those who are against the Constitution into a peaceful relationship with those of us who are supportive of our Constitution.  It is his job to defend our Constitution from those who want to destroy and/or degrade it.

If you are against the Constitution of the United States then you are an enemy of the United States and an enemy of President Donald Trump. You are my enemy.  You are every American patriot's enemy.  Find a country you want to live in and go there.  Or, stay here and face the wrath of Donald as he begins the process of defending our Constitution from people like you.

Donald Trump is the President of the United States, not the President of the divided states.  What unites us is our Constitution.  If you do not like that, tough!  There is a new Sheriff in town.

Our previous President complained about our Constitution and set out to destroy it from day one of his time in office.  Not this President. Get used to it.

Why does the left want Donald Trump to try to please everyone?  There are two reasons.  First, what they really mean is that they want him to please them only.  Second, the key to failure is to try to please everyone, and they want Donald Trump to fail.
