When you are in faith you believe what the Lord has said and you believe the report of God's Word above everything else. When you listen to the spirit of doubt and unbelief you are believing the circumstances instead and cancelling out your prayers. Keeping in mind you were designed with freedom of choice so you are able to choose moment by moment. Best to always walk in faith and not by how things may look at any given moment. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
