Pastor Caspar's Commentaries - The Church Today

One of the main things that I believe we the church should be doing in these end times is gathering together to worship and pray, to study to show ourselves approved of the Lord. So that our Lord may equip us and prepare us today as we see the signs of Messiah's eminent and glorious return quickly approaching us. Let us not be overcome by all the events and circumstances that are unfolding on the world stage presently, but rather that we can overcome them all in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua! When the disciples asked the Lord Jesus," teach us how to pray effectively the way you do Lord?" Jesus said," gentlemen it goes like this," and gave them a model prayer to work with that we now have in Matthew 6:9,"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."

Christ prayed this fully knowing it was also meant for us here today that we are to look to Papa God for all our needs every day. Do you think that Jesus feeding of the 5,000 was a part of that "give us this day our daily bread" prayer? (Which included supernatural cooked fish as well.)

The Lord Jesus didn't tell us to pray and hope our prayers be answered; He told us to pray in faith, believing our prayer shall be answered. Mark 11:24,"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.Truly as we study the Word of God we find that "Daily bread" isn't just about bread, rather it's about all those things we would need here, no matter whether that need concerned is about your body or your spirit. John 6:35,"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." I admit that I have been tempted at times watching some unbeliever eat or drink to say, "If you eat and drink that you shall hunger and thirst again". I have also gotten strange looks from people I said that to in times past. Simply trying to share the Gospel with them in the same way Jesus said that to the women at the well. John 4:14,"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." Jesus is our daily bread and I dare say the Lord Jesus wouldn't have told us to pray for what He didn't really believe Papa God would supply to us, would He? Matthew 5:16,"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! Because "All", things are possible with God! I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
