Pastor Caspar's Commentaries - The Undisciplined Mind

Many people struggle with an undisciplined mind the way someone learning a new skill like learning an instrument struggles in the beginning. However suffering with an undisciplined mind often finds a person who is filled with a continuous stream of thoughts, that embrace a spirit of worries and fears causing distorted perceptions of reality, all of which trigger degenerative processes in the mind and body.

Who can really afford not to "bring all thoughts into captivity to Christ Jesus? (2nd Corinthians 10:5) Just as you can't count backwards from 99 and say the ABC's simultaneously. You must choose one or the other.

We read in Joshua 24:14,"14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Keep in mind not every thought you have is your own or good for you. Why bow down to the kingdom of darkness on any level. Some of our ancestry may have served the fallen ones, the Nephilim, nevertheless we still have a choice.

James 1:22," But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

Charles Spurgeon spoke out so strongly against slavery that American publishers of his sermons began deleting his remarks on the subject, seems the lamestream media has this in their DNA. Spurgeon often worked 18 hours a day. Famous explorer and missionary David Livingstone once asked him, "How do you manage to do two men's work in a single day?" Spurgeon replied, "You have forgotten that there are two of us. (Meaning the Holy Spirit in him,) Occasionally Spurgeon asked members of his congregation not to attend the next Sunday's service, so that newcomers might find a seat. During one 1879 service, the regular congregation left so that newcomers waiting outside might get in; the building immediately filled again. Interestingly Spurgeon never gave any seeker friendly message or watered down gospel, he simply gave them the truth of God's Holy Word. He taught the truth of repentance. For example "A sinner can no more repent and believe without the Holy Spirit's aid than he can create a world." "Another proof of the conquest of a soul for Christ will be found in a real change of life. If the man does not live differently from what he did before, both at home and abroad, his repentance needs to be repented of and his conversion is a fiction." "I learn from the Scriptures that repentance is just as necessary to salvation as faith is, and the faith that has not repentance going with it will have to be repented of."

" Learn this lesson: not to trust Christ because you repent, but trust Christ to make you repent; not to come to Christ because you have a broken heart, but to come to Him that He may give you a broken heart; not to come to Him because you are fit to come, but to come to Him because you are unfit to come. Your fitness is your unfitness. Your qualification is your lack of qualification."

" Repentance is as much a mark of a Christian, as faith is. A very little sin, as the world calls it, is a very great sin to a true Christian."
Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! Jesus said in Luke 21:15, "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.' I say hallelujah! Because "All", things are possible with God! I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
