Pastor Caspar's Commentates - Enduring Sound Doctrine

We read in 2 Timothy 4:3,"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Sadly it does not appear to me that many have actually discerned how applicable this verse is for us today.

Considering how many shall attend a church service now where the ministry has actually become performance based.

Instead of entering into the house of the Lord it feels more like entering into a theater of entertainment. It appears then even to the casual observer that the congregation is nothing more and nothing less then an audience. The times of worship have become times of entertainment with numerous modern songs devoid of sound doctrine, no matter how popular they have become.

When the applause and approval of men and women become the measure of success let us consider John 12:43," For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God."

It certainly appears then that the kingdom of darkness has blinded their spiritual eyes and hardened their hearts so that they can not comprehend the Gospel truth and be converted so God would heal and restore them.

We read in places like 1 Peter 4:17," For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"

When the church exists simply for the glory of God, clearly the presence of God shall help direct all meetings and services, so that even when the unsaved visitor enters such a place they may be overwhelmed by Christ's extravagant agape love and confess their sins knowing God almighty is with us. The Lord Jesus/Yeshua said in John 10:27," My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! Jesus said in Luke 21:15, "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.' I say hallelujah! Because "All", things are possible with God! I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
