WHERE DID DEMONS COME FROM?

by Rev. Joda Collins
For easier reading, all verses are paraphrased with wording clarified using dynamic equivalence and a commentary-style approach, and content is summarized.

Satan said in his pride-filled heart, I will promote myself and God will serve me.  I will be take the place and position of God.  Isaiah 14:13-14.

(3)  In heaven (7) there was war.  Michael and his angels fought against the Satan.  (4) Satan influenced a third part of the angels of heaven to follow him in rebellion against God  (8) However, Satan and his followers prevailed not against God  (9) God cast them out of heaven.  Revelation 12.    God cast Satan to Earth's ground.  Isaiah 14:12.   The one-third of the angels who rebelled against God, God cast down, locked them in the bottomless pit and put them in chains until the end of time.  2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 1:6 combined.

All of the above happened before the creation of Adam and Eve.

Since the pre-Adam fallen angels are incarcerated until the end of time then who are the demons that are on the Earth today?    We must search for an instance of post-Adam fallen angels. We find that in Genesis 6:1, 2 and 4 which reads, "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them that the sons of God (angels) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives...and they bare children...(that) became mighty men...of renown."

Most Bible scholars believe the sons of God in Genesis 6:1, 2 and 4 are angelic beings sent to Earth to assist mankind (like angels do today), but these angels sinned by marrying human women.  These angels, by their willful sin would be removed from their position (angelic assignment).  I believe these fallen angels are the demons that inhabit the Earth today.  If this is not so, then where did the demons that roam the Earth come from?
