Youtube Inadvertently HELPING Christian Outreach by Closing Controversial Accounts

After "terminating" mega-popular channels like drcraigvideos (home channel for Dr William Lane Craig) and PPSIMMONS (which was found to be wrongfully terminated and hence reinstated), youtube has now shut down a pro-traditional family video called  "Homosexual Marriage (WARNING!) Look to Canada – (BdeanSonsofLiberty)".


The video explains how in Canada homeschooling parents are forbidden from teaching their children during school time that homosexuality is a sin – and government officials openly proclaim that they will not tolerate such biblical opinions.

That kind of invasion of a private home by the government, the video explains, is what could be approaching for the U.S. “The government is trying to control what and how we teach our children,” the video explains.

Now, the content of the video is being talked about, shared on many social networking sites, and viewed by countless people thanks to news stories (like this one) being run on major news sites like WND, CarlGallups.com,  Onenewsnow.com, and many more.

Had youtube simply left it alone much less fuss would have been made about this atrocity. Now it seems the message of the video will go viral... all thanks to the blatant discriminatory practices at youtube. How ironic that the attempt by flaggers to shut the message down would be directly responsible for the message spreading around the world. Here is the video.

Youtube Reinstates Popular "Christian Apologetics" Channel

Early this morning, May 8, the PPSIMMONS youtube channel is back in business thanks to a re-think on the part of Google.

Without warning youtube shut down the mega-popular PPSIMMONS youtube channel which, at the time, was in "good standing" without any warnings against it.

We understand that youtube reserves the right to do this but it was so clearly a reaction to an apparent flagging campaign that even WND News devoted a front-page article to it.

The video youtube claimed was responsible was titled "An Emergency Call to Prayer" and called upon Christians to earnestly seek the Lord concerning the addictions (demonic grips) which are plaguing the Christian community around the world and even on youtube itself. The video spoke directly to the church and was not an assault toward any other group either real or imagined.

The world-wide attention this received reached the eyes and ears of someone at Google who had the ability to look deeper into the matter and discovered that the channel had indeed been falsely removed and had the channel reinstated.

Why was this important? The PPSIMMONS youtube channel has over 500 videos on it. Many of those videos were used in blogs and mainstream media reports and embedded into articles on sites like this very blog. So when the PPSIMMONS channel went dark so too did these stories. Many of the articles found on this blog make no sense without the video material.

So we're thankful to God for giving us the patience and endurance to keep pressing this matter. And we're thankful to Google for finally doing the right thing. Now if only there was some kind of protection we could wear to keep from getting this disease again.

Conservapedia Suggests God is Taking Vengeance Against Youtube for Shutting Down "Christian" Channel

Conservapedia, the popular conservative alternative to Wikipedia, has joined in on the outrage against youtube and it's parent company Google for shutting down a "Christian" youtube channel for a simple call to prayer video.

The channel, called "PPSIMMONS", had over 21,000 subscribers and over 22 million views when, for no obvious reason, the account was "terminated".

Today, on the main Conservapedia page, the following statement could be seen in their news column:

Shortly after YouTube shut down the Christian YouTube video channel PPsimmons, the Federal Trade Commission reports recruiting a high power litigator to lead its antitrust investigation of Google which owns YouTube. In addition, Google now says it is being investigated by the governments in Korea and Argentina. Was YouTube's shutting down of a large Christian YouTube channel with 20,000 subscribers a good idea? It looks like they should reconsider their decision and re-open the YouTube channel as divine favor is definitely not overflowing on Google.

WOW! They're not pulling any punches with that one. Perhaps they are familiar with the sad state of affairs for Keith Olbermann following his attack against PPSIMMONS contributor Carl Gallups. Olbermann, while still at MSNBC, referred to Pastor Gallups as the second worst person on earth. It was't long after that Olbermann was fired from the news channel. He was then hired by Al Gore's go-nowhere network "Current TV" from which he was also fired and is currently being sued for lack of performance.

Carl is the author of the recent best-seller "The Magic Man in the Sky" which will be released in May published by WND Books. It has been rumored that PPSIMMONS will be defended legally by Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation.

So it seems there may be some sort of divine protection at work here. We'll leave the door open for your own interpretation. Since the news headlines at Conservapedia are always changing here's the screen shot. Stay tuned!

Youtube Users Call for BOYCOTT Over Closure of PPSIMMONS Channel

There's a growing clarion call even on youtube itself for a boycott in response to youtube's closure of the mega-popular PPSIMMONS youtube channel.

Of course we're not going to publish the user names here but comment threads on videos around the popular video sharing site are suggestive and sometimes outright explicit, demanding that people boycott youtube for unfairly discriminating against a "Christian" channel referencing a "Call to Prayer" video as the reason.

The PPSIMMONS channel was in "good standing" at the time of its termination, had no copyright violations against it, and had recently been apologized to by youtube for their hostility against another video the week before.

This whole thing is quite bizarre and, according to the cries from users on youtube for a boycott, it could easily backfire on them, having the effect of driving video makers, good video makers, into the arms of other sites like Dailymotion.

Best-selling author Carl Gallups was interviewed on WND this week saying “It was as if you have a thriving business and you came to work one day and the building was burnt down and everything you had created was gone. Instantly.” Gallups was a major contributor to the PPSIMMONS content and author of "The Magic Man in the Sky". He has his own youtube channel and website where many of his personal videos can be found.

In the meantime the PPSIMMONS Ministry is alive and well on facebook and is building a vibrant presence on Dailymotion.

Currently there are plans being drawn up by attorneys to confront youtube for this apparent violation of their own policies against discrimination. This is breaking story. Stay tuned.

PPSIMMONS Case Taken Up by Nationally Known Attorney

Following the closure of the world-renown PPSIMMONS youtube channel a representative of the United States Justice Foundation has come out in defense of the PPSIMMONS ministry and is contemplating a legal strategy to get the PPSIMMONS youtube channel back up.

Gary Kreep, is the Executive Director at the United States Justice Foundation. Upon hearing the news that the PPSIMMONS God and country youtube channel had been "terminated" by youtube he immediately offered to help and is now involved in the case.

George Soros buying up Google Stocks as Youtube Shuts Down Popular Obama Eligibility Channel

Mega-popular Obama eligibility youtube channel PPSIMMONS was shut down last week. We`ve been writing extensively on the matter and it has exploded into a major media event with media outlets getting on board to talk about this atrocity as youtube appears to have violated its own policies by closing the channel. Now we have discovered that George Soros is making major investments in Mountain View, California-based Google, the largest maker of smartphone software, bringing the total position to 259,900 shares valued at $167.9 million as of Dec. 31, according to a filing yesterday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Soros increased holdings of information technology stocks by 12 percent in the quarter. (Bloomberg)

Some might argue this is just a giant coincidence however the PPSIMMONS youtube channel was instrumental in exposing the eligibility problems with Barack Obama; breaking news almost daily with millions of hits on many of the videos detailing Sheriff Arpaio`s finding that there are no non-fraudulent documents anywhere which validate the birth place of the current resident of the White House.

George Soros is a major player in Barack Obama`s presidency. It`s possible youtube has begun a purging campaign to get rid of the Obama eligibility material due to the new puppet master - George Soros. And it is also possible that Soros is using his ownership of Google (youtube) shares to cleanse the web of this material.

Youtube Facing Possible Discrimination Lawsuit over "Prayer" Video

Following Youtube's decision to close the incredibly popular PPSIMMONS youtube channel there were many, let's say, disgruntled fans.

Websites which had embedded the PPSIMMONS God and country videos suddenly went dark. These information and news sites would write paragraphs leading into the video and then the video was supposed to play. All that was seen was "This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement."


This resulted in severe damage to the credibility of these websites. In fact, youtube offers a service - and now was responsible for denial of this service to hundreds of people around the world. They have the "embed" option on their site for the specific purpose of allowing other websites to tap into the youtube material. Entire news stories were made invalid with this one tragic decision.

You see - PPSIMMONS wasn't your run-of-mill youtube channel where kittens are falling asleep and tumbling off of chairs or babies are shown barfing on their dads. PPSIMMONS was a breaking news site with videos embedded on major media outlet websites around the world. The channel had won numerous "most viewed" awards with 22 thousand subscribers and over 20 million views.

Now a major law firm has agreed to look into representing the PPSIMMONS youtube channel over its removal and possibly seek damages. For more on the timeline of events and the actual video in question see our previous article here. In that video you will hear the narrator speak directly to Christians and call Christians to prayer. He spoke to the church and no other group. Youtube has a policy of not discriminating against anyone for their religious beliefs and yet here we have a clear case of youtube doing that exact thing.

Youtube Shuts Down Popular Channel Because of "Call to Prayer" Video

Earlier this week the popular Christian outreach youtube channel PPSIMMONS was "terminated" by youtube. The account, in "good standing", was closed sometime on April 24. When one of the moderators attempted to access the account on that morning he was greeted with:

 "This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement."

This was an enigma if there ever was one. "Violations"? The PPSIMMONS account was, according to youtube themselves, in "good standing". In fact, the folks at PPSIMMONS confirmed this "good standing" the week before when they were slapped by youtube for a Trayvon Martin video they posted and were placed on six month "probation". When PPSIMMONS staff appealed the probation youtube responded with an apology and reinstated the account's "good standing". From youtube:

Dear ppsimmons:Thank you for submitting your video appeal to YouTube. After further review, we've determined that your video doesn't violate our Community Guidelines. Your video has been reinstated and your account is in good standing.

This email was sent to the PPSIMMONS ministry Apr 19 - the week before they shut down the channel. Now back to Apr 24. None of the moderators can access the channel. It's dead. No reason was offered by youtube other than that which everyone sees when they try to access it:  "This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement."... Nice.

So they went through the appeals process as best they could. It was difficult since their account had been shut down. But they managed to squeak out an appeal to the youtube brass. The response they were given was nothing short of jaw-dropping. They cited the most recent video titled "An EMERGENCY Call To PRAYER! From Carl Gallups and PPSIMMONS Ministry". From youtube:

Notice it says "Penalty 2". Penalty 1 was a video PPSIMMONS did on abortion a couple of years ago with graphic images and which was taken down. Youtube placed the account in "good standing" following that.

Now remember - the account was placed in good standing following the Trayvon video and for which youtube apologized. They shut down the account while it was in good standing! But that's not the strangest aspect of all this - as strange as that seems.

Penalty 2: "An EMERGENCY Call To PRAYER! From Carl Gallups and PPSIMMONS Ministry". What kind of video was this that so enraged youtube that they saw fit, without any warning at all, to terminate one of the most popular "Christian" channels on youtube? Was it full of naked ladies smoking crack? Was it full of blacks and Jews being slaughtered by a group of drunken white supremacists? Here it is - judge for yourself.

Well there you have it. A simple call to prayer. A call to the church to reach out to God for cleansing and holiness. One might be tempted to suspect that youtube was upset at the mentioning of homosexuality as being a "demonic grip" but the video was speaking directly to people who [claim to] believe the Bible and who [claim to] know Jesus as Lord. This video was not directed at the homosexual community at large. It was a "call to prayer". It attacked no one.

According to youtube's own guidelines [here], they claim: "We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view." Now that they have shut down PPSIMMONS can they honestly make that claim? No - they cannot. The same paragraph in youtube's guidelines says "But we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity)." Yet the video is speaking to Christians, not homosexuals.

So it seems like youtube is violating it's own guidelines on this one. They are discriminating against a youtube user based on religious beliefs. Not only is that unconstitutional, it goes against their own rules of conduct.

A simple call to prayer. That's all it took to get PPSIMMONS jettisoned from youtube. Yet the ministry lives on. It lives on with this blog and on facebook. It lives on Dailymotion and yes, on countless other youtube channels where the material was "mirrored". PPSIMMONS lives - it will never be silenced.

PPSIMMONS has offered to take PPSIMMONS' case against YouTube
pro-Bono. Those discussions are underway at this writing.

Many of you have noticed that the PPSIMMONS channel does not currently exist on YOUTUBE. Youtube exercised its right to pull the channel. Apparently the channel was the victim of a massive flagging campaign. The decision to pull the channel is under appeal. Perhaps it will reappear - perhaps not. Youtube Losing Big Accounts to Competitors Due to Lack of Oversight

Want to get a youtube user shut down because you don't like their message? It doesn't seem very difficult these days. The mega-popular Christian and political outreach channel "PPSIMMONS" (our namesake) found that out the hard way earlier this week when, quite unexpectedly, their channel was "terminated".

The reason given by youtube, available to see when you actually try to visit the channel home page, is:

This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement.

In an interview with moderator and spokesman Mike Shoesmith, author of two of the PPSIMMONS resource books and frequent contributor to the channel content said in an interview that they are trying to reach youtube to have a dialogue on the matter. He also said they are moving operations to their popular facebook page.


"We are shocked by this - truly shocked" Mr. Shoesmith said. "We were placed on notice by youtube and put on six month probation for a Trayvon Martin video but we appealed it and youtube said they were wrong and placed our account back in good standing. A week later they shut us down completely without any warning".

Mr Shoesmith also said they have a popular facebook page and have been slowly moving video content over there. "Our facebook fans are the best and we appreciate their support. We have streaming news coverage and live interaction with members. It's a really great venue" Shoesmith said. "If youtube doesn't honor our requests for reinstatement then facebook will be a solid alternative".

Additionally PPSIMMONS is now, as of today, up and running on Dailymotion; a popular video sharing website used by many big names. They began uploading content to that site and is available for anyone to access. Dailymotion has many of the same features as youtube - embedding, commenting, sharing to social networking sites etc.

PPSIMMONS representative Mike Shoesmith told us it felt good to "break free from the youtube chains and have the flexibility to branch out knowing that our video content is not in any violation of copyright laws and that we can post to other sites and have access to our videos to use on blogs and social networking to promote our message".

PPSIMMONS had nearly twenty two thousand subscribers on their channel with tens of millions of views. Many of their videos had third party content which youtube permits as long as the user agrees to allow advertising on the video to promote the creator of the third party content. This allowed youtube to make a great deal of money off of the PPSIMMONS uploads without any money actually going to the people at PPSIMMONS. They were ok with that since it was a not-for-profit outreach anyway. The financial loss is strictly youtube's.

With all of the options out there youtube is certainly the most popular. But the question remains - for how long? As more alternative sites become better known when groups like PPSIMMONS promote them by moving their material and then linking from social networking websites, youtube would do well to heed the chatter out there; a warning that rough seas are ahead if they don't start investigating the flagging of content. Many other websites had PPSIMMONS videos embedded in their pages and when youtube pulled the plug on the entire account a great many other websites went dark as well - news sites, blogs, etc. How does that look when a video supposedly from youtube won't even play. Dailymotion is very facebook friendly and even allows facebook users to install an app on their pages which plays dailymotion videos. In many ways it is better than youtube.

There are campaigns which take place on youtube called "flagging campaigns" designed by groups to get individual channels shut down. For example, the PPSIMMONS channel had material which was hard-hitting toward the atheist and evolutionist community. It wasn't slanderous or mean. It simply pointed out all of the reasons people should avoid the pitfalls of jettisoning their beliefs and why the liberal, naturalistic worldview is indefensible. It was classy content and difficult to refute. And so, since PPSIMMONS had never been in direct violation of any policies, a flagging campaign triggered the closure of the channel.

This actually can lead to the channel being reinstated should youtube investigate further but much damage has been done by this and PPSIMMONS has already begun the process of moving on.

Should youtube be afraid of this? In fact they should. Youtube has been very comfortable for people because it is familiar and a household name. But don't forget - Lucky Strike and Pan Am were also once household names and look what happened there.

The PPSIMMONS youtube channel has been under constant assault by youtube atheists for its content exposing the fraudulent aspects of the promotion of the theory of evolution - the major supporting theory under-girding the philosophy of modern atheism. With this in mind there is good reason to believe the channel was the victim of a flagging campaign against it. We hope that Google, the owner of youtube.com, will see the reality of this and reinstate the channel.
