Why atheists should not use health care

I can remember a few years ago watching an atheist on youtube give his audience a lament over his use of antibiotics to cure a nasty infection. His lament was easy to follow - he felt he was somehow evading the natural processes of evolution; a process of thinning the herd so to speak.

It is a common rebuke among atheists toward us Christians that we ought to be very thankful for science and its ability to heal us and that science has done away with the need for a god to explain sickness and disease. Yet there is an ironic twist which has escaped the narrow vision enjoyed by the atheist community - it is they who benefit from God in their use of aggressive force to combat illness and disease; a benefit manifested in the use of logic.

Recently we received a personal message on our youtube channel [here] from a person who's doctor had discovered a tumor on his spine. The person, a Christian, said he was debating whether or not to have the surgery. He had been taught that a person should live by faith so was this faith supposed to look like getting tumors removed by doctors or by God, that is, by faith?

Our response was this: get the surgery. The reasoning is simple and quite poetic when viewed in contrast to the teachings of modern Atheism. You see, every doctor must use logic. Logic is transcendental - it has no natural origin. The laws of logic were discovered (not invented) by Aristotle. Logic applies to everything in nature, like an a priori for understanding nature and, by logical inclusion, everything in the universe.

Since logic applies to everything in the universe as an a priori it must exist outside nature, and by extension, the universe. So could it have been created by people or could it have evolved with people? This is the claim of many but a proven absurdity. Logic applies to everyone regardless of their ability to use it or understand it. Logic has always been applicable to everything in the universe. It applies to rocks as well as humans. It applies to chimpanzees and doctors equally. It makes no distinction between those who understand it and apply it in the court of law and the convict who spends his days locked up in prison based on logic he himself did not comprehend. Had evolution been true, logic would have applied millions and billions of years ago as it does today. Logic, friends, is transcendental. So getting back to the title of this article it seems obvious now that atheists should not use the health care system. Whenever a doctor diagnoses a problem, or even forms a sentence for that matter, the doctor is using logic - transcendental logic! So if an atheist sees a doctor for advice and subsequent treatment that atheist is giving the doctor permission to use a transcendental (supernatural) tool. Essentially the atheist is asking the doctor to borrow from God!

There are two dynamics at work here. First, the atheist is asking the doctor to go knocking on heaven's door looking for a handout (logic) and second, since the creation story for the vast majority of atheists is evolution, the only honest conclusion whenever an atheist is sick or dying is that nature (their god) is testing them. If they fail the test they are obviously weak and should allow themselves to succumb to evolution's desire to weed them out. Either scenario keeps the atheist out of the doctor's office entirely.

But we Christians see things a little more logically than that. We see that since the fall of humanity the original template has been eroding as it copies itself because of the decay brought on by disobedience - by original sin. The instructions are becoming more and more corrupt. As this happens we are thrust into a position of using aggressive force to limit the damage as much as possible until the Lord returns. This requires innovative thought amid the fortuitous divine encounters (Flemming) in daily life and the incorporation of some borrowed material - logic!
