Was Ted Cruz granted Amnesty?

His parents failed to file a CRBA form which is required by US law. Ted's parents did not fill out the required form until 1986.

Did Cruz's parents ever file a CRBA  form. or apply for amnesty per President Reagans Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986?

Article states   "According to Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier, Cruz's mother did register his birth with the U.S. consulate and Cruz received a U.S. passport in 1986 ahead of a high school trip to England"

**Cruz' parents didn't file the paper work for his US citizen status till 1986. It was reported to be because he was going on a school trip and needed a passport.  But that might not be the truth. Until this law was passed in 1986, it might have been a more difficult process for Ted Cruz to become a US citizen...come to think of it....  Cruz and his family moved to Houston Tx in 1974. He would have been an illegal alien till his mother filed the paperwork in 1986 to have him naturalized.  

President Reagan gave Amnesty  to illegal aliens. Maybe that's why he couldn't become a citizen till 1986. He had to get amnesty first.  The irony is, he is running around saying he is against amnesty for illegals, when he was an illegal that received amnesty from President Reagan.  So, Reagan did amnesty November 6, 1986 then they changed immigration laws again the next week November 14, 1986.

According to USCIS, 

"In a general, a Child Born Outside the U.S. is a Citizen at Birth when the Child's Parents Are Married to each other at the Time of Birth IF... Both parents are U.S. citizens at the time of birth, [...] One parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of birth and the birth date is on or after November 14, 1986"

In the case of Ted Cruz, his parents were married at the time of his birth however only one of his parents may have been a US citizen. We know that his father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth and since they were married and it was before 1986 Ted Cruz was, by definition given by the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services, not an American citizen at birth. Therefore he does not qualify to be President of the United States. EOS!
