Falling in love seems the easy part for most couples, however staying in love requires some relationship skills based upon the Holy Word of God. We read in places like Ephesians 5:28," So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself." In other words broken relationships are caused by selfishness from lies the devils feeds you which then alter your perceptions of reality making it harder to make good decisions. We learn about relationships as we grow up. Chemically we are designed with something called mirror neurons which causes us to learn mannerisms and chosen interests which occurs with the influences of imitation through our cultures as we watch one other. In this way we learn and model relationships as we mature and unfortunately, many of us didn't have godly role models to watch and observe. We read in Ephesians 5:1," Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;"
Often it seems I am asked this question, "How do you stop thinking about negative poisonous thoughts?" My answers is, practise what the Lord told us to do by replacing ungodly thoughts with the Word of God! (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Our example to follow is how the Lord Jesus/Yeshua answered back the devil when the devil came to tempt him. "For it is written", as the devil misquoted the Holy Scriptures and Christ quoted them properly and defeated the devil. This is what we must also do, especially if you need a miracle or healing, meditate on the Holy Scriptures which brings health and healing to all your flesh. Proverbs 4:21, "Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."
Now consider what was the last thought you just had? Did it bring you closer to God or further away? Yes it is absolutely true God is in control, however he will not control your thought life and take away your freedom of choice. Only you get to choose whatsoever you think on! That being the case then let us practise staying in faith and not entertaining the spirit of fear by thinking on good things as we are instructed to do in places like (Philippians 4:8)
Besides how has entertaining the spirit of fear ever helped you or anyone else ever stay in faith? Entertaining the spirit of fear releases poisonous chemicals into your body and negatively affects your whole life. Without faith it is impossible to please the Lord. We read in Isaiah 26:3," Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Philippians 4:7," And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Providing you put Christ first and trust the Lord for every detail so His supernatural peace shall come and overtake you as put your trust in the Lord Jesus, which also helps you make good decisions.
Actually worry changes quite a lot of chemicals being released in a negative way. The Spirit of fear that God did not give you, that we can also call worry causes a cascade of chemical and hormonal reactions leading to excessive quantities of the stress hormone cortisol in your blood, which basically compromises your immune system. I dare say, entertaining the spirit of fear, stress, and worry is like riding a rocking horse as it won't take you where you want to go but keeps you stuck in a rocky place. Ride with the Lord instead and stay in peace. Isaiah 58:14,"Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it." Fight back overcomers, trust Papa God for every detail and stay in faith! Because "All", things are possible with God! I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision and protection cover you always with oceans of agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
