Pastor Caspar's Commentaries: I rather enjoy the work of Bach

I rather enjoy the work of Bach. I enjoy his work immensely from front to Bach. We read in Psalms 95:6 ,"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker."

It is interesting to me to study the lives of certain historical figures who were believers. Johann Sebastian Bach was never attracted to stardom, fame, or fortune. He once told a student, "Just practise diligently, and it will go very well. You have five fingers on each hand just as healthy as mine." Once, when an acquaintance praised Bach's wonderful skill as an organist, Bach demonstrated his characteristic humility and wit by replying, "There is nothing very wonderful about it; you have only to hit the right notes at the right moment and the instrument does the rest."

Bach also said, "Music's only purpose should be the glory of God and the recreation of the human spirit." Music was given to glorify God in heaven and to edify men and women on earth. It wasn't to make lots of money, or to feed the musician's ego, or to be a flash in the pan moment of fame. Music was about blessing the Lord and blessing others. I would guess every profession can be applied to this logic given a biblical profound understanding.

The goal of the music through ministry is to bring glory to God through anointed praise and worship. All believers qualify who are anointed because all believers ought to be filled with the Holy Spirit. So there is no room for any other spirit, just you and the Holy Spirit ought to be dwelling in your Holy Temple. Enough said.....We are created to praise the Lord.

I believe in the power of praise to help break strongholds and help prepare to free captives. It's like during the start of a war where the army's generals first send in the aircraft to bomb the living daylights out of the enemy. In other words, it breaks the enemy's defenses down and softens them up for the coming battle. Before you send in those solders in hand to hand combat you want to clear out the enemy as much as you possibly can with bombings first. Mind you today warfare has employed bioweapons and Article Intelligence.

Nevertheless, praise and worship does just that; just as the evil spirits departed as King David played his harp which today would be considered like a guitar. Also, praising the Lord is a wonderful form of worship, as it becomes like a sweet-smelling sacrifice before the throne of the living God. Worshipping the Lord is not just music, it is a way of life. Nevertheless, it is rather nice we are able to enjoy the sounds of worship as we focus on the author and finisher of our faith.
John 4:24, "God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth."
I pray the Lord's supernatural peace, healing, provision, and protection cover you always with oceans of Agape love in the almighty name of Jesus/Yeshua!
