THE FALLOUT - Whatever happened to the followers of Harold Camping?

A Year After the Non-Apocalypse: Where Are They Now? A reporter tracks down the remnants of Harold Camping’s apocalyptic movement and finds out you don’t have to be crazy to believe something nuts.

For a while, their message was everywhere. They paid for billboards, took out full-page ads in newspapers, distributed thousands of tracts. They drove across the county in RVs emblazoned with verses from the books of Revelation and Daniel. They marched around Manhattan holding signs. They broadcasted day and night on their network of radio stations. They warned the world.

That warning turned out to be a false alarm. No giant earthquake rippled across the surface of the earth, nor were any believers caught up in the clouds. Harold Camping, the octogenarian whose nightly Bible call-in show fomented doomsday mania, suffered a stroke soon afterward and mostly disappeared from sight. The press coverage, which had been intense in the weeks leading up to May 21, 2011, dwindled to nothing. The story, as far as most people were concerned, was over.

If you’re absolutely sure the world is going to end on a specific day, and it doesn’t, what do you do? How do you explain it to yourself? What happens to your faith in God? Can you just scrape the bumper stickers off your car, throw away the t-shirts, and move on?

Why it DOESN'T Matter WHAT You Believe About the Rapture

On September 11th 2001 two hijacked airplanes slammed into the Trade Towers in Manhattan NY and an hour later both of them were dropped to street level. Imagine a person walking into work that morning at the tower and as he enters the building he looks up and thinks "There's no way these towers will ever fall. I am in the safest place on earth".

It really didn't matter what the person believed. The towers came down in spite of the person's beliefs about it. The future was coming for this man no matter what his doctrinal stance on the matter. Maybe he even argued with his buddies over a coffee the week before. Perhaps his friends were conveying to him the evidence for an imminent attack on the property. "No way!" he said to his friends, "that is just a bunch baloney!"

The rapture is as sound a doctrine as any other. There is just as much evidence for the rapture as there is for - say - the Trinity. And the rapture is coming - like a train moving steadily down the tracks - ever proceeding and not slowing down. There is no need to argue with people about it - no need to cause divisive bickering and fighting. It will happen - we promise.

The Bible does not need to be defended. Like a lion in a cage all we need to do is let it out - it will defend itself.

The Rapture - It IS in the Bible!... THE TRUTH!

It tells a lot about a person who says the rapture is not a true doctrine because the word "rapture" isn't in the Bible. Did you know the word "forever" isn't in the King James version of the Bible? However the CONCEPT of "forever" IS in the Bible. The KJV uses the word "eternal" rather than "forever". Likewise the English translators use the words "caught up" in 1Thess 4:17. The Latin Vulgate translates the Greek ἁρπαγησόμεθα as rapiemur, meaning "to catch up" or "take away". This is where we get the word "rapture" from. And yes - it's in the Bible

So - what does it say about people who say the rapture is not mentioned in scripture?
It says they have an anglo-centric perspective on scripture (God only speaks English). It says they don't really KNOW the Bible. And since I have clearly shown that the rapture IS in the Bible they should abandon said belief and embrace the contextual truth. Refusing to do so reveals a stubborn tendency toward willful ignorance since the word "rapture" is in the Bible - but not in the English translation. Having said that we can always continue to discuss what the rapture MEANS but to say that the rapture isn't mentioned in the Bible is just silly.

AT IT AGAIN - Harold Camping says Rapture to happen "Oct 21"

After a few months of silence, caused by Camping's stroke, the California Bible teacher repeated the prediction recently in an audio message on Family Radio's website. Although Camping sounded less certain, he still said that the Rapture would "probably" occur Oct. 21.

But Shuck cannot believe that people believed the radio host at all, especially since the May flop was not the first one. Camping had already predicted the Second Coming of Christ in 1994.

"It seems to me that people have forgotten about his previous prophecies," Shuck told CP.

The PPSIMMONS ministry - an online Bible teaching resource and end-time watch group promotes the rapture as biblical but stays away from date setting.

SIXTH TRUMPET GETTING CLOSER!... regional war imminent!

We here at the PPSIMMONS Ministry have been reporting a SIXTH TRUMPET WATCH for many months now and it appears to be right around the corner. Ynet news is reporting today that:

"Recent revolutions in the Arab world and the deteriorating ties with Turkey are raising the likelihood of a regional war in the Middle East, IDF Home Front Command Chief, Major General Eyal Eisenberg warned Monday"

As we watch the events unfolding in the Middle east approaching a bid by the Palestinian people to form a nation state of their own we are clearly witnessing the approach of the fulfillment of the Sixth Trumpet prophecy which will be a regional war in the Middle East which kills one third of its participants.

It has been said by many students of the "word" that Israel is God's time piece. With that in mind we are keeping our eyes on events unfolding over there as we clearly have evidence that the first five trumpets have already blown and the sixth is imminent followed by the rapture of the church; a clear teaching in scripture which takes place as the seventh trumpet. Please watch these videos from the PPSIMMONS Ministry on the trumpets and the rapture.
